On January 13, 1979, the 'Beautiful' Beta Iota Chapter was chartered at Spelman College.

The very first line consisted of five lovely ladies and there was a line every year until the hiatus of 1984. In 1993, the chapter was triumphantly revived by Soror Teki Hunt, who was initiated through the Beta Beta Chapter. The 'Beautiful' Beta Iota Chapter has been up and running ever since. Scroll below to view current officers, members, and chapter lineage.

Richelle Stephens is a senior studying economics with a minor in public health. She currently is the President of the 'Beautiful' Beta Iota Chapter and is also the founder of the Minority Association of Pre-medical Students at Spelman College. While working to bring forth necessary discussions such as her #DearDaddy campaign, which shed light on black fatherhood and the impact it has on young black men, she has also recently become involved with peer education to teach college students how to live their financial “best lives”. Richelle spends her time learning how to further her development while sharpening multiple skills such as coding and public speaking to advance her career towards a serial entrepreneur.
